Cashback terms and exclusions

What will stop me getting my cashback
  • Only hotel bookings & experiences (tours, activities, attractions etc) within the Tripadvisor site are eligible for cashback. Cashback is ineligible on virtual experiences, vacation rentals, flights, and restaurants.
  • Bookings must be completed on the Tripadvisor page using the Tripadvisor price. Bookings made on third party sites will be ineligible for cashback.
  • You must book through 'Instant Book' to be eligible for cashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any coupon codes not advertised on our platform.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of gift cards, vouchers, or store credit for partial or full payment. Cashback is also ineligible on purchase of gift cards.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchases made via the retailer's mobile app.
What else is essential
  • IMPORTANT: your booking will initially track at $0 cashback into your account. This will uplift to the full cashback amount up to 90 days after you've completed your booking.
  • Engaging with 3rd party browser extensions, ad-blockers, VPNs, DNS ad-guards, enabling browser tracking prevention settings, and using browsers such as Brave may prevent your order from tracking.
  • Accept and allow all 3rd party cookies on the retailer's page if requested.
  • Return to TopCashback to click the 'Get Cashback' button for each new transaction.
  • Transactions must be completed solely & wholly online and must not be assisted or negotiated via phone/chat/email. Failure to do so will cause tracking to fail and/or have cashback declined.
Good to know
  • Cashback is confirmed within 90 days after completed travel.
  • Most retailers calculate cashback based on purchase amount excluding GST, other taxes, and delivery fees. Your cashback may report lower than expected due to this.
  • If any part of an order is cancelled, returned, exchanged, modified, or credited, the entire order will become ineligible and cashback will be declined.
What to do and when
  • Cashback claims must be submitted within 100 days of the purchase date. Unfortunately, any claims made after this period cannot be accepted.
